began working in the pgm recovery business in 1995. His educational background involved studies in chemistry at the Technical University in Darmstadt where he graduated as Doctor-Ing. in 1987. Soon after graduating, he began working with the chemical surface treatment of stainless steel, which led to extensive experience with hydrofluoric acid treatment of steels. Since 1988, Dr. Hess has been responsible for Research & Development with DeRustIt, GmbH a leading company in this field in Europe. He became Managing Director of DRI in 2001 and through a strong business relationship with Heraeus Germany became further involved in the development of processes specifically related to the recovery of pgm from nitric acid facilities. Since forming 3D Recovery Europe, Ltd in 2006, Dr. Hess has been the director of the German branch and is managing the company's commercial activities. |

has been involved in precious metal recovery projects since the early 1980's, which was at the time when the now widely known, and further more widely accepted procedures for the recovery of precious metals, were in their infancy. David has been at the forefront of the development of the individual processes used to enhance the recovery of pgm from various industries throughout his 26 years in the business with a proven track record of some 200 + plants successfully cleaned by David and his team throughout the world. This vast experience has helped David develop into one of the world's leading experts on pgm recovery processes for all types of industries. |

is a degreed Chemical Engineer (BS Chemical Engineering, University of Tennessee, 1988) and holds a Masters in Business Administration from Louisiana State University (1995). David has over 15 years experience with precious metal recovery projects both from production management of various nitric acid facilities and in product/service sales to the various industries consuming pgm catalysts. In addition to extensive experience in nitric acid production, David is actively involved with designing gauze campaigns and pgm metal management activities for many nitric acid facilities through a consulting services agreement with Heraeus Metal Processing, Inc. He has published several articles in trade journals and has presented many technical papers at industry related conferences - many of which are available for download in the LINKS section of this website. |

has 40+ years experience in precious metal chemistry, research, development, production, and sales management. While with a previous employer, Harry invented/developed the destructive chemical process for the recovery of pgm from redundant nitric acid plants and also the non destructive chemical processes now used to recover pgm from operational plants. Harry has over 25 years experience in the field of pgm recovery from nitric acid, cyanide and vitamin C plants. He has worldwide experience in pgm recovery from every conceivable design of plant that uses a pgm catalyst. Other expertise: electrochemical recovery technology, precious metal electro deposition, electrochemical recovery of pgm from dilute solutions, metal separation techniques, costing of work and production of legal documents. |
